Karolina's counselling
A space to heal and grow
Seeking counselling can be a courageous step. I offer a warm, creative, and confidential space where you can explore your challenges and work towards healing.
About me
Hi, I’m Karolina, and I offer a warm and creative space for counselling and psychotherapy. Located in the Reading area, I provide both short-term support and long-term therapy.
I offer sessions face-to-face and online.
Feeling peaceful is something you deserve. I believe that everyone is worthy of healing and living authentically, in line with their values. Often, the difficulties we experience are a result of our life experiences, not because anything is “wrong” with us.
I have experience working with neurodivergent individuals and those managing anxiety, OCD and depression. I help people navigate complex family dynamics, explore their sexuality, and find their way through the unique experiences of both men and women. I am also here to support you through the difficult journey of infertility and the significant period of pregnancy.
My journey towards becoming a counsellor is informed by my previous experience in the care sector. I have worked directly with adults with severe learning disabilities, autism, and personality disorders, offering both physical and emotional support.

How I work
Bespoke counselling tailored to you.
As each person is unique, I offer an integrative approach to our counselling work together. This means I draw from different therapeutic models to ensure our sessions are tailored to your specific needs. Some of the ways we might work together include:
Person-centred therapy
I believe that you are the expert on your own life. My role is to create a safe and supportive space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings.
Psychodynamic approach
Understanding where our current difficulties come from can be helpful in healing. Together, we can gently explore how past experiences might be influencing what you're going through now, bringing understanding and creating positive change.
Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT)
Our minds can get stuck in unhelpful patterns. I use CBT techniques to help you gently notice and reframe any negative thoughts. This can help you see things from a different perspective.
Creative approaches
We can explore creative ways for you to increase your self-awareness and process emotions in a way that feels right for you.
Working with me
When choosing to work with me, you can expect a safe, confidential, and understanding space where you’ll be fully accepted as you are. Our therapeutic relationship will be collaborative and supportive, focused on keeping your individual needs and goals at the heart of our work.
Our sessions will be built upon your life experiences and my professional knowledge and skills. Together, we will use these strengths to help you gain a deeper understanding of yourself and better care for your emotions and relationships. We will work side-by-side to find solutions that help you feel better and more comfortable in your life.
